Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES)

Elsevier and the CAPES organization in Brazil share the commitment to maximize the visibility of Brazilian research throughout the world.

To support this common goal, Elsevier has developed a pilot to provide free public access to the final, published journal article (PDF) of selected Brazilian research as part of an open archive on ScienceDirect(在新的选项卡/窗口中打开). Currently, over 4,000 articles are freely available on ScienceDirect as part of this pilot.

Participation in the pilot is open for any author funded by the Brazilian Government publishing in selected Elsevier journals. After acceptance, authors will select the option "The Brazilian Government” in the funding body section of the Access and Rights form. Elsevier will include articles in selected journals to the open archive, enabling free public access after the journal's embargo period has expired.
